Here are a few tips to prepare for our initial chat:
- Establish the goal you’d like to achieve with a research session. Are you searching for an ancestor’s immigration ship record? Or perhaps you’d like to find your grandparents in the 1900 U.S. Census. Maybe it’s a broader goal, such as tracing your family back to their ancestral hometown in Europe. Deciding upon a research goal will allow us to determine the best strategy and the most suitable research package to fit your goal.
- Write down the information you already know about your ancestors. This is the best place to start. Don’t worry if it’s only a small amount of information. That’s okay! You’ve come to the right place. My passion is piecing together your ancestor’s journey. I can work with the information you have and build upon it.
